Happy Anniversary Mama Jane & Daddy Roo! (9/13)
Happy 1st Birthday Lily! (9/19)
Here are the pictures of the newest things in our new apartment. I think we finally have everything in place. Dean is setting up his printer which is the last thing that has been out of place.
We used to have shelves on the sides of our infamous Grand Canyon puzzle picture. Now we have some individually framed pictures. On the left is Dean's family and on the right is mine.
Look at all the books we have!! We had all of these in different little nooks in our old apartment. Now we have two amazing bookshelves that hold them all! We're also using them for extra pantry space since one downside of the new apartment is a deeper but less wide pantry.
We have two new frames up on our office wall. The one on the right is Dean's Masters. On the left is a painting we got from the Yellow Daisy Festival. It's of Turner Field (The Atlanta Braves Stadium) and Atlanta's skyline. I can't explain how much I love the angle of this painting. You can see the outline of the old stadium and the part of the city we see when we're at Braves games. I really really like it!
We decided to get rid of the futon in the office. Don't worry, if you want to come visit we have other places for you to get a good night's sleep! This "cubby" system was all Dean's idea and it was a great one! We needed more storage space. Also to the very right of the picture, you can see that we have a new stand for our TV. We decided to get rid of the big plastic storage unit and this one is on wheels so it's easy to move the TV!
Other than running around the apartment marveling at how much more room we have, we're busy with day to day life. Work is going good for me. I've been doing the job of two people, but hopefully I'll get getting some help soon! Dean will be heading to San Fransisco next week for a couple days for a conference. This is a really big conference that lines up with what he's been studying so it should be really interesting.
We'll be heading to Richmond this coming weekend for Ryan and Lindsay's wedding. Can't wait to see everyone again!
We're also still holding out hope that the Braves can pull out a spot in postseason. It's going to be tough, but if any team can do it, it's our Braves! GO BRAVES!! :-D
