After two days in WV, we headed to Western Virginia to Dean's granddad's cabin. We had a big family reunion and a cookout with fireworks! We played horseshoes and enjoyed the scenery and spending time with 4 puppies! Here is a view from Bald Rock...
Who knew that Camry's were mountain cars! Isn't she cute??
On Sunday, after a little detour (about an hour South instead of Southwest), Dean and I went through Tennessee to Georgia. Neither of us had been to Tennessee, so we said, why not? We visited Knoxville and went up in the Sunsphere, pictured below. This was built in 1982 for the World's Fair. There were a lot of neat things to see around there. It was even more cool knowing that my grandparents had been there during the World's Fair.
Our final stop before heading back to the big city was Chattanooga. We drove up Lookout Mountain and stopped at some neat places out there. It is very commercialized though. You had to pay to get to the edge and see the nice view of Downtown Chattanooga. We did find this one place where there is an incline up the mountain. We didn't go on it, but it was fun looking!
5 days and 1187 miles later, we made it back to Atlanta. Tomorrow, we leave for another trip. This time we're flying home to Richmond for our birthdays and a wedding. We'll get to see a lot of our friends, so we're very excited!
