Memorial Day

Memory Day was beautiful!  We met our friend  Beth and her pup Penny at Burlington's waterfront and enjoyed the lovely weather.  One person we talked to said days like these are the reason why we put up with winter here!  I can totally agree!

First, Daisy decided to dip her toes in Lake Champlain.

Look at all those sticks!

Daisy's in the water!

Daisy and Penny enjoying the view

We took a walk from Waterfront Park down to the dog park.  We met a guy whose dog loves to jump for balls.  He got all 4 paws off the ground every time!

Daisy is trying to jump for the ball.  Cooper is watching while his owner is giving Daisy some incentive.

Our little pig found the mud puddle.

Daisy and I were running together when she peeled off to go play in the mud puddle some more.

Wet and dirty Daisy.

She's so happy to be so muddy!

There was another entrance to the lake at the dog park so we thought we would get Daisy back in.  Penny would have nothing to do with the water.  She wouldn't get close to it!

Daisy really wants her stick!

Still trying to get the stick.

She waded in the water and she got her legs all wet!

Still trying to reach the stick without swimming!
After a break from the sun and some much needed lunch we went to yet another park!  Daisy finally took a few doggy paddles to get a tennis ball that we threw in the lake.  I think we will have a swimmer on our hands in no time!
