Has it been a month already? Connor has kept us busy around the clock since day one! We have paced the floor, cried and worried but we have also smiled, laughed and felt completely blessed. Our little boy is so strong for being born 3 weeks early. He has a scream that will cause your ears to ring and a smile that will warm your heart. Parenthood isn't easy but it is the most rewarding job I have ever had! Dean and I are truly honored to be Connor's parents.
This month:
I feel like we have already mastered diapering. Connor doesn't like having his diaper changed so he screams and cries during the whole ordeal.
I have already been spit up on a few times. You just have to keep going with what you're doing and clean it up later.
Connor is a great sleeper. Once we get him down for the night, he will sleep for about 3-4 hours before he wakes to be fed. The only time we had a problem was week 3 when he had a growth spurt and needed to eat every hour or so. I ended up sleeping in the nursery in the glider a few nights in a row. Thank goodness we got through that!
Connor loves to move! Dean takes Connor out in the mornings for a walk with Daisy. He is fussy on the sidewalks, but once you get in the bumpy grass he is happy. He usually comes back sound asleep which helps me have an hour or so in the morning to shower, eat breakfast and get some things done.
We have been experimenting with tummy time. Connor has fun scooting around on the blanket. We have a short video of him here:
