I spruced up the blog a little since we are no longer in Atlanta. It's a new look for our new adventure!
Our time in Richmond flew by. We got to catch up with a lot of friends and family which meant so much to us. We took trips to West Virginia to see some of my family, to Raleigh to visit with Dean's brother and sister-in-law, and to Topsail Beach for the Lewis family beach vacation! My parents came along too which made this year extra special!
After loading down our vehicle with as much stuff as possible, we were finally off to Vermont. We split the trip up so that we could do our traveling in daylight and see the beautiful stretch from upstate New York to Vermont. It was definitely worth it!
We got our Vermont license without any problems. It took a little longer to get the cars registered, but they are and have new license plates. The cars are scheduled for inspection next week and we will get the plates on then.
House hunting went smoothly. We saw around 10 or so homes and quickly crossed some off of the list. We narrowed it down to 4 when Dean's parents came to visit. They checked out all of the homes for things we didn't even think of. By the time they left, we had it narrowed down to 2. After lots of prayer and going back and forth we picked out the house we wanted.
All week we went back and forth with the sellers. They finally agreed to come down on the price a bit! Yesterday we signed the new contract on the house!! There's still a lot to do, but we are hoping to close on November 16th!
The house is in a beautiful neighborhood that is kid and pet friendly. It is about a mile from IBM. The house is beautiful on a corner lot with lots of yard. There is a 2 car garage, 4 bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. There is a finished basement with windows and a home office! We are really excited about it. We will keep you posted and post pictures later!
