New York was amazing!!!! Dean and I had a great time together! We took the train to Grand Central Station and walked to the pier by way of Times Square where we took a 3 hour boat ride around Manhattan. We got to see a ton of sites while on the boat. We saw Ellis Isle and the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn and Queens and the Bronx. We saw all the buildings and bridges that you see is movies and tv shows when they're located in New York. We saw Yankee Stadium, the historic one and the new one they're building. It was so much fun! After the boat tour, we walked to the Shake Shack. It is a small shack where they serve hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and well...shakes! Dean and I saw them on The Food Network before and it was highly recommended. They even have a website with a camera to show how long the line is. We had to wait for awhile, but it was yummy! Then, we went to the Empire State Building and had to wait in multiple lines to make it to the 86th floor. We got to see Manhattan from the sky from a ton of different angles and got a lot of pictures! The sun was setting and the lights were starting to all come on. It was so pretty! After that, we walked back to Grand Central to take the train back to where Dean's staying. But before we got there, we passed Batman on the street! Yes, Batman walked right past us on the streets of New York!
I of course have a ton of pictures and will have to post them later on this week or weekend. It has been quite a busy week so far. I worked until 9pm tonight and hopefully will finish my project by the deadline, tomorrow!
Please keep my Grandma in your prayers. She's having congestive heart failure which apparently can be treated with medication. She's on medicine and is going to the doctor frequently to keep this under control, but if you could send up some prayers, I would really appreciate it.
Pictures and updates to follow!
