2013 So Far

We are still in love with our little bundle of fur!!  Daisy is a very smart pup and she keeps us smiling every day.  She has learned so much and is growing fast.  If you would like to check out some pictures and videos of Daisy, you can find a while album full here:

Dean updates this album with new pictures and video all the time.  We are crazy picture taking parents!  Here are a few of my favorites if you don't have time to check out the link above.

We received a shipment of family furniture and other things we left in Virginia.  It was nice to fill up our dining room and give some family heirlooms a new home.

Dining Room Table from my parents & China Cabinet from Dean's Grandparents
We had our first visitors at our new house!  Dean's parents came up to experience a Vermont winter and to visit their newest grand dog.  Daisy was very spoiled and learned some bad behaviors while they were visiting but we are working on correcting that.

The annual Penguin Plunge took place while the in-laws were in town.  We bundled up and went down to the edge of Lake Champlain to watch Dean and thousands of other crazy Vermonters jump in the freezing lake.  Dean did a great job and we were proud of our penguin!  This might become an annual thing so if anyone else wants to visit in February you can jump in the lake with Dean!  A big thank you to those to who donated money to Special Olympics so that Dean could jump!

Ice on the edge of Lake Champlain

He did it!
Dean was jumping in the ice cold lake and I was dressed like this!
There was a big snow storm this week in New England.  We only received about 8 inches of snow.  They did close schools on Friday, but we did not experience any problems here.  Dean had gotten good use out of his snow blower and Daisy is loving bounding around in the snow piles.

Working hard!

Vermont is absolutely lovely.  The chilly temps are worth it to see the beauty of the mountains, trees, lakes and snow.  I love looking around our neighborhood and town and seeing such beauty in God's creation.  I am blown away on the clear nights when I walk outside and see so many stars!!  You can see a lot more than we did in Virginia and definitely more than we ever did in Atlanta.  Sometimes it looks so unreal!  We are loving Vermont life!

A beautiful sunset from our neighborhood!
